Oolong Tea Storage

Some oolong genuinely improves with years of storage, and some fades within one. Roast level decides which, and here is how to tell them apart.

The rules that keep oolong good: cool, dry, dark, sealed, and separated by roast level. Why each one matters for a partly oxidised leaf.

What oolong actually needs: room temperature for roasted leaf, a cool cupboard for light leaf, and humidity kept away from the tea. The numbers explained.

A practical home setup for oolong: containers, location, and the mistakes that matter more for roasted and light leaf than for green tea.

Knowing which of the two you have is the first step, because the storage that saves one can flatten the other.
